The so-called ‘Round Table Meeting’ proposed by NCP-Maoist (Baidya) and accepted by three major parties, Nepali Congress, UML and Unified Maoists between the stakeholders, according to veteran communist leader, Narayan Man Bijukche ‘Rohit’ is a conspiracy to derail the constitution drafting process.
Bijukche who leads Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party while addressing a press meet in Bhaktapur, September 6, 2014 said, “A new syndicate is in the offing through the so-called Round Table Meeting…forces that do not want constitution have become suddenly active…the constitution has thus become uncertain now.”
“The weakness of major three parties has delayed the process of consensus… our parliament and constituent assembly is the same—which has also diverted its attention from our core task of drafting the constitution.”
“If present situation is to continue for some more time, possibility of drafting the constitution by January 22, 2015 will also fail.”
