
KATHMANDU:- The country has recorded a total of 8,017 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours from among 21,808 sample tests, the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed.
During the same period, altogether 5,292 infected ones got recovered from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 837,004 so far. At present, the country has 90,576 active cases of coronavirus infection.
The Ministry said that 554,566 people received anti-COVID vaccines in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 15 persons succumbed to coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours across the country. So far, COVID-related death in Nepal is 11,687.
According to the Ministry, 49 infected persons are in ventilator support while 257 others are in ICU beds.
The Ministry said Kathmandu district has 38,859 active cases of coronavirus, 10,390 cases in Lalitpur and 5,614 cases in Bhaktapur district.
