Nepal records 1,674 new cases of COVID-19

KATHMANDU:- A total of 1,674 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, these cases were identified while conducting PCR test on 8,144 individuals across the country.
Kathmandu valley alone recorded 899 new cases of COVID-19 in the reference period. According to the Ministry, the number of active cases is 24,900 in the country.
The number of total infected cases has reached 218,639 in the country as of today. Of them, 193,325 have recovered so far. The Ministry shared that 17,206 infected individuals are in home-based isolation.
Likewise, 336 infected persons are undergoing treatment in ICU and 47 are with ventilator support in different hospitals in the country.
Similarly, 2,878 infected persons have recovered in the past 24 hours in the country. The ministry further shared that the total deaths caused by the virus infection has reached 1,305 till November 21.
