(Daily Pioneer): Top Nepalese political parties on Sunday failed to evolve a consensus on the stalled peace process, including the key issue of integration of former Maoist combatants into the army, as leaders struggle against a May 27 deadline to complete the Constitution drafting process. The meeting of three major political parties—UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, and CPN-UML—ended inconclusively, however it dwelt upon expediting the army integration process and the formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Disappearance Commission. The top leaders of the major parties who were present at the meeting could not forge consensus on the issue. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, Maoist chief Prachanda, NC leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Chandra Poudel and CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal were present during talks held in Singhdurbar secretariat.
