Nepal Oil Corporation hikes price of petroleum products
N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU:-Nepal Oil Corporation, the state-owned trading company, has increased price of petroleum products. However, the price of aviation fuel and cooking gas has not remained intact.
Stating that the price of petroleum products has gone up in the international market, the corporation has decided to increase the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 per liter. According to spokesperson Binit Mani Upadhyaya, the new price will be effective from 12 noon on Saturday.
Spokesperson Upadhyay said, “As per the price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) on August 1, the price of fuel has gone up.Based on the price of crude oil, exchange rate of dollar and price list received from IOC, it has been decided to increase the previous retail price of fuel by Rs. Even if the price is adjusted, the corporation will lose Rs 1.23 on petrol and Rs 1.15 on diesel.”
After the price adjustment, the retail price of petrol will be Rs 104 per liter, diesel Rs 90 and kerosene Rs 90. The price of aviation fuel and cooking LP gas has remained unchanged.
