Nepal ends coronavirus lockdown, effective from tuesday mid-night
KATHMANDU: Nepal Government has officially lifted the lockdown imposed to check the spread of Corona Virus, with effect from this midnight.
The lockdown had been imposed since March 24. The information was shared by government spokesperson Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada at a press meet held at the Ministry of Information and Communications today.
Likewise, hotel and restaurants will also be allowed to open from July 30 by observing the necessary health protocol. Mass gathering, feast, party, seminar however will not be allowed.
The government has already opened public transportation. Furthermore, trekking, mountaineering and the tourism(by adopting all healthy measures) sector too opens from July 30. Domestic and international flights will resume from August 17.
