N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- The government has sacked Ramesh Silwal, member secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC).
A cabinet meeting held on Monday gave permission to move ahead with the dismissal process, a minister said. He said, “It has been decided to complete the process and remove it,” the minister said.
Silval was appointed Rakhep Member Secretary for the first time on 23 July 2076. Silval, who resigned within a year due to the National Sports Act 2077, was re-appointed by the KP Sharma Oli-led government on 12 August 2077.
According to the law, 27 people had applied for the post of member secretary.
While two were disqualified due to age limit, the recommendation committee had recommended the names of Silwal, Anju Shrestha and Lil Bahadur Sur Thapa from the rest.
