Bishnu Sharma (Maryland, USA): Nepalese envoy to the United States of America Dr Shankar Sharma has initiated discussion series with the US Congressional bipartisan caucus on Nepal, co-chaired by Republican Congressman Ander Crenshaw and Democratic Congressman Jared Polis.
First round of these discussions held two days earlier is attended by congressional representatives centered on peace process and constitution writing.
The third and fourth round of these discussions are slated to center on Challenges in achieving millennium goals and cooperation needed, USAID activities and financial assistance. Experts from the relevant field in Nepal will be participating in the event.
Envoy Sharma informed that the discussions will be instrumental in paving way for the US government to provide funds for Millennium goals, peace process and constitution writing.
The US Congress formed the caucus last year last year in ambassador’s Sharma’s special initiative.
