Nepal defeats Bhutan


KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Bhutan 6-1 in a friendly match between the U-15 national women’s football teams of the two countries. In the match held at ANFA ground in Satdobato today, Amisha Karki of Nepal scored a hat trick while captain Priti Rai scored two goals and Sunkali Rai scored one.
Captain Diki Lazom of Bhutan scored a consolation goal for her country in the 14th minute of the match. The two teams will meet against on Wednesday.
Meanwhile in the match held today under Qatar Martyrs Memorial A division league football, Three Star Club defeated Nepal Police Club 1-0 to record a win in the tournament. In the match held at Dasarath Stadium, Tripureswar, Sushil Rai scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute.
With the win, TSC collected four points to climb to the second position in the points table of the league. Manang Marsyangdi Club leads the points table as of today.
