
KATHMANDU:- The Ministry of Health and Population said the country reported a total of 4,636 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The new cases were confirmed from 14,556 samples tested in various laboratories across the country during the same period.
Similarly, four people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours. With this, the fatality from the infection mounts to 11,617 to date.
Likewise, 350 people got recovery from the infection in the past 24 hours, taking the recovery caseload to 816,003 as of now. The recovery rate stands at 96.1 per cent, the Ministry said.
There are currently 21,584 active cases in the country. Among them, 20,536 are in home isolations while 1,048 in institutional isolations, shared the Ministry. There are 119 COVID-19 patients in ICU and 26 on ventilator support.
Meanwhile, 435,193 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Saturday alone. Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Kaski and Kailali districts have 500 plus active cases of corona virus while Jhapa, Dhanusha, Makawanpur, Kavre, Nawalparashi Purba, Banke and Rupandehi districts have over 200 active cases.
