Nepal COVID-19 Update: 3,451 new cases; 35 deaths reported


KATHMANDU:- The country has reported 3,451 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed.
Kathmandu district recorded 677 new cases while 167 and 117 new cases were recorded in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts, respectively.
Among the new cases, 2,566 were spotted from 10,093 RT-PCR tests while 885 were known from 5,518 antigen tests carried out in the past 24 hours across the country.
Similarly, a total of 2,458 infected got recovered in the same period. With this, the number of active cases in the country is 39,371. Of them, 36,036 are in home isolation and 3,335 patients are in institutional isolation.
Likewise, a total of 795 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in ICUs of various health facilities while 197 are with ventilator support in the country.
