KATHMANDU:- The country has recorded 1,478 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. Similarly, six infected people have died, taking the death toll so far to 11,059.
The infection figures were from 13,930 COVID-19 tests, said Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Krishna Prasad Poudel amid a press conference here on Wednesday. The number of active infection cases across the country is 21,139. The infection rate is 19.1 per cent.
Also today, 1,630 infected people have been free of the deadly virus in the past 24 hours, taking the total recovery figure so far to 755,630. The recovery rate is 95.9 percent.
Of those infected, 344 have been admitted to intensive care units at various health institutions and 119 are on ventilator support. Similarly, 11,805 are in home-isolation, 1,334 at institution-isolation and 243 at quarantine facilities.
