Nepal Covid-19 update: 1,304 new cases recorded on Tuesday

KATHMANDU:- The country witnessed a total of 1,304 new cases of the coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. Of them, 803 are men and 501 are women, the Ministry of Health and Population said. In the past 24 hours, 8,583 RT-PCR tests were carried out in different laboratories across the country.
With the recent data, the coronavirus tally in the country reached 234,756 as of today. According to the Ministry, altogether 216,594 infected ones got recovery from the virus.
Likewise, 2,073 people got discharged from the hospitals across the country after recovering from the virus in the past 24 hours. With the recent records, the number of reported active cases reached 16,633.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu valley reported 530 new cases of the coronavirus infection including 290 men. With this, the number of infected in the valley reached 109,656 till Tuesday. Of the new cases, 409 are from Kathmandu district, 85 from Lalitpur and 36 from Bhaktapur.
Similarly, the Ministry said that 21 more people died of the coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours in different districts of the country. So far, the number of COVID-19 related deaths reached 1,529 in the country.
