Nepal Covid-19 Update: 1,066 new cases of coronavirus, 16 fatalities in 24 hours


KATHMANDU:- The Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 1,066 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The news cases were recorded after the tests conducted among 11,385 persons.

Similarly, 1,234 persons got recovery from the virus in the same period, reaching the total recovery 748,800. The recovery rate stands at 95.4 percent.

As per latest update, 23, 636 infected ones are in home isolation and 1,446 in institutional isolation. Moreover, 389 are receiving treatment at ICU and 121 in ventilator support. The active population of COVID-19 infected is now 23,636.

Total number of fatalities caused by the COVID-19 has reached 11,028 with 16 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Ministry shared. The fatality rate is 1.5 percent.

The Ministry further said 170,317 persons were vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
