Nepal COVID-19 Tally: 1,497 new cases reported

KATHMANDU:- A total of 1,497 new cases of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours. The confirmation was made in 11,449 PCR tests carried out in various laboratories across the country.
Speaking at the routine daily press meet at the Ministry of Health and Population today, MoHP spokesperson Dr Jageswar Gautam said 457 people recovered to their normal health in the past 24 hours. So far, 50,411 people have recovered from the deadly virus. The total number of infection has reached 69,301.
The number of active cases of Corona Virus is 18,437. In the last 24 hours, 755 people were confirmed positive to Corona Virus in Kathmandu valley, with 609 in Kathmandu, 95 in Lalitpur and 51 in Bhaktapur districts.
Meanwhile, 17 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 453.
