KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party secretariat meeting held on Monday to decide the names of the heads of its various departments ended inconclusively.
The meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar could not reach a conclusion in this regard as attending NCP leaders demanded more time for homework, said party senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal after the meeting. Disputes have surfaced over the position of the chief of party’s school department. Some senior party leaders like party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, party secretariat member Ishwor Pokharel, leaders Jhala Nath Khanal, Ghana Shyam Bhusal, Beduram Bhusal and Ram Karki have been demanding the post.
“We have not decided on posts of any department,” said Shrestha. The meeting also discussed unification of all central department and work division, he said. The next meeting of the party secretariat is scheduled for August 13.
