KATHMANDU:- Nepali Ambassador to the European Union, Gehendra Rajbhandari, has urged the European Commission to help Nepal in its fight against Covid-19.
During a brief meeting with President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, after presenting letter of credence on Wednesday before the President, Ambassador Rajbhandari urged for the support including vaccine and necessary medicines after briefing about the problem Nepal has been facing due to Covid-19, according to Nepali Embassy in Brussels.
In response, the Commission President assured of helping Nepal in its fight against Covid-19 through networks of EU.
Ambassador Rajbhandari on the behalf of President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended best wishes to President Leyen.
