KATHMANDU: A day before the Constituent Assembly (CA) will be dissolved, Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN), which has intensified agitation demanding unitary-ethnic federalism, has encircled it today.
Joint Struggle Committee coordinator Parshu Ram Tamang said that they have encircled the CA so as to secure the constitution incorporating ethnic federalism.
NEFIN and other ethnic, madheshi, janajati organizations affiliated to JSC, have claimed that they will not accept the new constitution without the provision of ethnic federalism.
Meanwhile the administration has beefed security in the area to avert any unprecedented event there. Even pedestrians have also been not allowed to walk in the CA perimeter.
