KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC), the major opposition, has termed its awareness campaign to be of a new form and its implementation process being effective.
At a press conference organized by NC at its central office on Thursday, NC’s Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma said the campaign had energized the party and leaders.
The nationwide campaign kicked off from May 8. Named ‘Himal Pahad Tarai/ Madhesh: Nepali Congress’, the campaign would strengthen the party organization and educate people about the incumbent government’s wrong activities, he added.
According to him, some NC leaders and cadres had felt difficulty in implementing the drive initially but it was smoothly implemented in majority of the districts.
In Morang and Ilam districts, the campaign kicked off from Thursday due to some practical reasons, it was told. Stating that the form of campaign had spread a positive message and given rise to discussion and discourses, Sharma informed that the campaign had been launched in every villages and towns.
NC has also extended gratitude towards those supporting from their side to make the campaign a success.
