KATHMANDU: Nearly two weeks after its formation, the taskforce constituted by the NCP to study the MCC has submitted its report today.
The ruling party Nepal Communist Party (NCP) had formed a three-member task force comprising NCP’s senior leader Jhalanath Khanal, NCP’s standing committee member Bhim Bahadur Rawal and Pradeep Kumar Gyawali to study and collect feedback on the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)’s deal to grant Nepal USD 500 million for the development of physical infrastructures.
All three members of the group, coordinated by leader Khanal, reached Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar and submitted the report to NCP’s Chairpersons KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
The NCP’s central committee meeting held on January 29-February 2 this year had formed the team. It was tasked to submit its report within 10 days. The team had sought additional 10 days for them to further carry out the study on the MCC.
