N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU:- Nepal Communist Party, (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has selected leadership in 68 districts.
The party has decided the chairpersons and secretaries of the districts.
The Prachanda-Nepal faction has agreed to take the lead in the organization on an equal footing by formulating 9-point criteria.
The former CPN Maoists have been selected in 35 districts and the former CPN UML in 33 districts. In nine districts, leadership is yet to be finalized.
Kathmandu has Basanta Manandhar as chairman and Himal Sharma as secretary, while Lalitpur has Harikrishna Thapa as chairman and Rajkaji Maharjan as secretary.
The group has informed that the central secretariat has been given the responsibility to fill the vacancies as per the decision of the standing committee meeting held on January 22 and 23.
