NCP Oli faction urges to move party registration process forward

Leaders of the Prachanda-Nepal faction Rajendra Pandey, Lilamani Pokhrel, Mukti Pradhan, and others have urged the Election Commission not to proceed with the party registration process.

N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- Leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction, who reached the Election Commission for discussion, have urged the Election Commission to move ahead with the party registration process.

However, leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction, which reached the commission for discussion, have urged the Election Commission not to proceed with the party registration process immediately.

Earlier, the Election Commission had called on both the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) factions to discuss the work done so far in the process of party registration and election preparations.

Leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction, which reached the commission for the discussion, have given written information that the chairpersons will come to the discussion only after January 31 as they are out of the valley for a political program.

Leaders of the Prachanda-Nepal faction Rajendra Pandey, Lilamani Pokhrel, Mukti Pradhan, and others have urged the Election Commission not to proceed with the party registration process.

Leaders of the Oli faction including Bishnu Poudel and Subash Nemwang have urged the Election Commission to move ahead with the party registration process. Leaders said the election process should move forward as the Supreme Court has not issued an interim order.

After the discussion with the Election Commission, Nemwang told the media, “Go ahead with party registration, we will give priority and necessary support.”
