NCP Dispute: MK Nepal Says There Should Be No Game For ‘Buying Time’

“We need to review works of the government at the federal, provincial and local level, so that we can make it more effective. We need to find out the wrong-doings of our party and government, so that we can self-correct and move ahead,” Nepal said.

By N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU:- Senior leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the NCP leaders engaged in a tug of war should shun their efforts to “buy time” for just prolonging the party’s internal feud.

“Nobody is trying to solve the problem. Instead, everybody is trying to prolong the problem,” leader Nepal said, as he addressed the party’s secretariat meeting on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

“We need to review works of the government at the federal, provincial and local level, so that we can make it more effective. We need to find out the wrong-doings of our party and government, so that we can self-correct and move ahead,” Nepal said.

Meanwhile, NCP secretariat meeting has been postponed for 10 days following a proposal from PM KP Sharma Oli that he wanted to counter a political proposal earlier presented by his rival co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”.

“It is natural for PM Oli to bring a new political proposal in regard to what Prachanda put forth earlier. We should welcome PM Oli’s proposal,” said NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
