KATHMANDU:
While the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has urged the Congress and other opposition parties to join his government, albeit for short time, before the change of the guard, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has flatly rejected such plea of the Prime Minister.
He has demanded Dr Bhattarai to step down from the government immediately without putting forth any condition to pave the way for consensus.
Addressing a tea reception program hosted for the regional presidents of the party at his own residence Maharajgunj today, he said that the Congress would not join the current government hence Dr Baburam Bhattarai couldn’t be transformed into a national consensus government at any cost.
He said: The election would be held only after the formation of Congress led government and this government could not hold election in the country since it has already lost moral and political ground.
