NC led consensus government within a month: Sitaula

Illam: General Secretary of Nepali Congress Krishna Prasad Sitaula has claimed that extending the life of ‘dead government’ by keeping it on ‘ventilator’ will be against national interests.

Speaking at a program organized by the Nepal Press Union, Sitaula said that Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal, and PM Bhattarai should not strive to keep alive the incumbent government that he claimed had died on May 28.

He called on all political parties for moving ahead to form a functional government in NC’s leaders to resolve the ongoing political impasse. Responding to journalist queries, Sitaula claimed that the new government will be formed in NC’s leadership within a month from today.

He even claimed that the President will be soon holding decisive talks with political parties as the UCPN Maoist has repeatedly failed to comply with the wishes of common people and failed to work to preserve national interests.
