NC expresses concern over Kantipur crisis

KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress on Wednesday expressed its serious concern over the obstruction in distribution of Kantipur and The Kathmandu Post dailies.

The CPN-Maoist affiliated All Nepal Revolutionary Trade Union has been distrupting distribution of the newspapers published by Kantipur Publications for the past few days.

Issuing a statement today, NC strongly condemned the anti-democratic and anarchic activities of the sister wing of the CPN-Maoist.

The NC urged the CPN-Maoist to respect freedom of information and end the ongoing protest promptly.

The party has also urged the government to create an environment for the smooth printing and distribution of the two newspapers.
