The office of Naya Bikalpa, national weekly newspaper, located at Anamnagar Kathmandu has been vandalized by an unidentified group on Thursday night.
The group which broke into the office through the main shutter smashed the computer, table and bookshelves as well as the chair of the editor, Newspaper’s editor Damodar Dawadi informed.
Meanwhile, Federation of Nepali Journalist (FNJ) has condemned the vandalism and demanded a state’s investigation into the case.
Releasing a press statement, FNJ has denounced the vandalism saying that the act is an attack upon the press freedom and rights to expression.
