National education not to be marked on September 8

However, the international literacy day is being marked on Tuesday with the slogan of ‘Literacy Teaching and Learning in the COVID-19 Crisis and Beyond across the World.’ The UNESCO is presenting an international award to Aging Nepal this year.

KATHMANDU:- The National Education day is being marked on different dates as it was being marked on the same day of International literacy day.

Work procedure related to it is endorsed to be effective from this year. The National Education day was being marked on September 8 each year since 2064 on the same day of international literacy day. According to the spokesperson at the Education Ministry, the procedure regarding marking the day in the separate day from international literacy day was endorsed by the Council of Ministers but the new date is yet to be finalized.

However, the international literacy day is being marked on Tuesday with the slogan of ‘Literacy Teaching and Learning in the COVID-19 Crisis and Beyond across the World.’ The UNESCO is presenting an international award to Aging Nepal this year. The award carries a purse of 20,000 USD.
