NA soldier dies on the spot in Rukum jeep accident


Rukum: An army man of the Nepal Army (NA) died on the spot and four others were injured in an NA jeep accident at Ranikot in Rukum district this morning.

Asha Lal Tamang, NA Constable, of Kavre district died on the spot in the accident.

Tamang was a member of the NA’s team deployed to construct the Musikot-Burtibang road section, according to the District Police Office, Rukum.

The accident took place after the jeep (Ba 1 Ja 6306) bound for Rukumkot from the temporary camp of the NA located at Sankh VDC in the district fell 100 meters off the road.

Junior Warrant Officer of the Nepal Army, Kumar Bhandari, 40, of Nuwakot district, Nabaraj Thapa, 38, of Sankh Ghorkhadi and his wife Dhansari, and Motiram Thapa, 56, were injured in the accident.

Of the injured, condition of three is serious. Injured have been brought to the district headquarters after primary treatment at Rukumkot. RSS
