More Than One Thousand New Industries Registered in Siraha In A Year
N24 Staff Writer, SIRAHA: A total of 1,147 new industries have been registered in Siraha in the fiscal year 2076/77 BS despite the lockdown. According to the Home and Small Industries Office (Lahan, Siraha), of the 1,147 newly registered industries, 530 are in the service industry, 490 in agriculture and forestry and 127 in manufacturing.
In the field of agriculture and forestry, 417 new industries of livestock, fish and agriculture, 40 new industries of animal husbandry and 15 new industries of poultry have been registered. 101 hotels, 59 construction and 55 transportation industries have been registered in the service industry. However, this number is less than the number registered in FY 2075/76. Dipendra Kumar Yadav, chief of the Home and Small Industries Office, Siraha, said that the number of domestic and small scale industries has reached 6,557 including 1,426 manufacturing industries, 1,648 agricultural and forestry industries and 3,633 service industries. Revenue of Rs. 4 million 29 thousand 100 has been collected from the new industry registry.
In the last fiscal year 2075/76, 1491 domestic and small scale industries were registered. Of these, 191 were registered as manufacturing industries, 740 as service industries and 558 as agriculture and forestry industries. Chief Yadav said that the number of home and small scale industries in Siraha has increased with the opening of agriculture and forestry industries as banks and financial institutions have started investing in domestic and small scale industries.
