Minister directs CTEVT to produce qualified workforce

BHAKTAPUR:- Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel on Thursday inspected the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
Also CTEVT Chairperson, he on the occasion directed the authorities to distribute affiliation based on necessity beyond pressure from political leaders, lawmakers or anybody else.
Stressing the need to head towards socialism by linking workforce with production, he underscored the need for the CTEVT to become self-reliant. “CTEVT as a source of production, employment and knowledge should produce qualified human resources through proper coordination.”
He pledged to carry out reforms in CTEVT curriculum and address problems it has been facing.
On the occasion, Minister of State for Education Bodhmaya Kumari Yadav said that there is a need for all community schools across the country to run technical education.

He also stressed the need for reforming CTEVT curriculum to suit changing times. CTEVT Vice Chairperson Khagendra Adhikari said that the CTEVT has put forward the concept of materialising aspirations of the state regarding its development.
