KATHMANDU: Reasoning the lack of preparation, the UCPN-Maoist has postponed its standing committee meeting said to be held this evening.
Following the mounting pressure by the YCL cadres on the party on their demand of compensation as to the fighters bid farewell, the meeting of the party headquarters, commanders of the fighters, and YCL representatives was to address the YCL demand with package deal.
Press Coordinator of the Party Chairman, Santosh Poudel told media that as commander of Maoists fighters, Nand Kishor Pun was out of the Kathmandu Valley, the standing committee meeting was put off, and they would meet next on March 12.
