Maoist leader Sapkota hints of accepting Congress-led govt

KATHMANDU:
UCPN (Maoist) Spokesperson Agniprasad Sapkota has said the national consensus government led by the Nepali Congress (NC) was possible and acceptable to them. However, Sapkota put forth conditions for accepting the leadership of government by Congress. According to him, Congress should agree for federalism based on identity, constitution with federalism, and promulgating constitution from the CA including few other points.
Speaking at a party’s program in Nuwakot on Saturday, he also refuted the allegations of other parties that the CA was dissolved due to his party.
“The CA was dissolved when Congress and UML could not accepted political changes and were not interested on providing various indigenous nationalities with their rights,” Sapkota claimed.
