Maoist hardliner says party unity still possible

BAGLUNG: Secretary of newly-formed CPN-Maoist, Netra Bikram Chand, has said that party unity with the UCPN (Maoist) is still possible if the UCPN (Maoist) agrees on political thoughts and leadership of the CPN-Maoist.

Leader Chand arrived in Baglung for the first after forming the new party to attend a cadres’ training programme.

Chand said, “An environment will be prepared to remain in a single party if the UCPN (Maoist) comes by correcting its mistakes.”

Chand said, “The root cause of party division is political deviation in them (Dahal and Bhattarai).”

Saying the CPN-Maoist was in favor of peaceful politics, leader Chand said to go for the revolt if people’ rights were not ensured.

He also suggested that a round table conference should be organized to forge broader consensus among the political to end political deadlock. RSS
