KATHMANDU:- The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to make special efforts to end the parliamentary deadlock. A meeting of the parliamentary party of the coalition partner today reached a conclusion that the prolonged House obstruction has its adverse impact on public issues, including in the progress for important documents.
It may be noted that bills of importance have remained in pending in the Parliament due to continuous House obstructions by the main opposition CPN (UML).
In the meeting, party Chair and parliamentary leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ directed the meeting about the role that party is expected to play in the country’s contemporary political situation and in the Federal Parliament session.
According to Dahal’s private secretary Ramesh Malla, the party Chair instructed the meeting to ensure party’s effective presence in the Federal Parliament session and to stand for the causes of people.
The meeting has elected Gopi Achhami as the party chief whip in the National Assembly. Likewise, Ganga Belbase has been elected the whip and Ram Narayan Bidari the secretary.
The meeting also formed a 21-member parliamentary board that also comprises chief Whips and whips in the House of Representatives and the NA.
