Few players might Miss the IPL

England and Australia cricketers Ben Stokes and Pat Cummins are likely to miss the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Dubai.

KATHMANDU:- With the series between England and Australia set for September 4, the chances of England’s top players Ben Stokes and Australia’s Pat Cummins are low in the IPL. With the Indian government allowing the world’s most expensive Twenty20 tournament to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), their participation has been weak. However, the date of IPL has not been fixed.

Provision has been made to sit in the team only after one week of isolation and corona test to participate in the competition pushed by the corona epidemic which has spread all over the world. The series between England and Australia is expected to have an impact.

Kasi Viswanathan, chief executive of Chennai Super Kings, a club in the Indian Premier League, said the quarantine rules would apply to some English and Australian players. They have claimed that they could lose two or three games if this rule is enforced.

“Only after following the quarantine rules will they get a place in the team and only then will they join the practice,” said chief executive Viswanathan.

In Chennai, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, fast bowlers Jose Hazlewood of Australia and Sam Curran of England are in Chennai. Similarly, Steve Smith of Australia is associated with Rajasthan Royals and David Warner of Australia is affiliated with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Even these players who were bought at the most expensive prices will be affected by the international series.

Andrew McDonald, the assistant coach of the Australian cricket team, has announced that he will not be participating in the tour of England. McDonald, who is the head coach of Rajasthan Royals, has indicated that he will participate in the IPL.

“If the deal was in the IPL, he would have been able to join the Rajasthan Royals. We were also flexible, ”said Ben Oliver, executive general manager of Cricket Australia (CA).

The Rajasthan Royals have England’s Ben Stokes, Joffre Archer, Jose Butler and Tom Curran. They are accompanied by Smith and Andrew Tie from Australia in Rajasthan. A total of 29 players from England and Australia are involved in the IPL.
