
MUGLIN: Manakamana cable car service will remain closed for six days starting coming Wednesday as part of its upgradation, said the cable car management committee. The upgradation takes place in three phases.
In the first phase, bullwheels and other equipment would be repaired or replaced and infrastructures would be prepared to make the station technology-friendly in the second phase, said Ujjwal Sherchan, Deputy General Manager of the Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd.
Likewise, in the third phase, the service would be run through digital technology from analog technology earlier. Established 23 years ago, the cable car station is located in Manakamana in Gorkha district. People visiting famous Manakamana Temple use cable car to reach and worship at the temple.
