Malla becomes new Chairperson of ANNFSU, Nabina Lama new General Secretary

KATHMANDU: Kishor Bikram Malla representing the panel of senior leaders of the party Madhav Nepal and KP Sharma Oil has won the election of the student wing of the party All Nepal National Free Student Union.

Similarly, Nabina Lama won the post of General Secretary by defeating her close contender. Lama had served as the Vice-chairperson of the organization. Lama had earlier shown interest to become the president of the organization.

Born in Sankhar village development Committee of Syanjha district, Malla had served as the General Secretary of the organization in the last tenure. He also served as the Central Member of the organization, Chief of Organizational Department, Central Secretary and General Secretary before reaching to the top post of the organization.

The Student-wing of the party has been facing problem as the leaders are divided into different groups backed by senior leaders of the party.

Malla defeated his rival Laxman Lamsal, supported by party chairperson Jhalanath Khanal, by 62 votes.  Ain Mahar, Deepak Gautam and Thomas Bastola have been elected as Vice Chair. Similarly, Mahesh Bartoula, Abdullaha Khan Hussian, Saroj Yadav, Radhika Khatiwada and Bhakta Kumar Lama have been elected secretaries. Counting for other members is underway.
