
RAUTAHAT, March 31: Farmers in the district have been worried much about the maize which went dry, as the Bagmati Irrigation Project did not supply water in the western canal.
The maize in the areas- Sindhuredhari, Bhalohiya, Santapur, Bishrampur of the district have dried causing the loss of hundreds of thousand rupees, said Khadag Raj Upreti, Chairman of Sindhuredhari Farming Consumers’ Group.
However, the Bagmati Irrigation Project said the water supply was halted for cleaning up the canal. RSS
