
Hemanta Kafle / AUSTRALIA: Mahendra Oli has been elected as the Chairperson of the Non Residential Nepali Association (NRNA) in Australia. Oli became victorious following the election held in different states of the Australia.
Along with Oli eight vice-chairpersons have been elected one in each state, while Bharat Pokharel, Choonamani Belbase and Dharma Raj Adhikari have been elected as Secretary, Vice-chairperson and joint-secretary respectively. As per the constitution of the NRNA separate state chapters will be opened in all the states.
Outgoing officials of the executive committee handed over the posts to the newly appointed officials amidst a function held on Saturday. During the Fifth Conference held on Saturday, representatives from all seven states took part. 52 members took part from Sydney.
Coordinator of the election committee Dipak Khadka has administerd oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected officials of the committee. Newly appointed chairperson Oli expressed commitment to work for the students and youths focusing for the development of the country.
