BHAIRAVA: The Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) has installed CC camera in the Lumbini area to make the Buddha’s birthplace safer.
LDT decided to install CC cameras to check incidents of theft and robbery that had been repeating in this holy place at different times.
In the first phase, CC cameras have been installed around the Mayadevi Temple and the plan is to install them in other places in the second phase, according to the LDT. Altogether 14 CC cameras have been installed in the temple complex including one each inside and outside of the main gate to the temple, six at different corners and other places.
LDT said CC cameras were installed at a cost of approximately Rs 900,000. RSS
