KATHMANDU:– Kathmandu Metropolis Ward No 16 has demanded the resumption of Janamaitri Hospital for the treatment of the COVID-19 patients, reasoning that the cases of coronavirus were growing in the Kathmandu Valley of late.
The hospital is not operative for quite a while. Issuing a press release on Friday, Ward No 16 office demanded the Health Ministry and other concerned bodies to take initiative to resume the hospital and help minimize the spread of coronavirus. Meanwhile, Spokesperson at Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ishwor Man Dangol said the federal government should be active to set up isolation. Currently, the Kathmandu Valley alone has more than 1,000 cases of COVID-19.
