Length workers obstruct Patan-Pancheshwor road section


BAITADI:- Length workers have obstructed Patan-Pancheshwor road section of Baitadi district from today, citing they have not got remuneration for the past two years.

They obstructed the road section at Lorkha of Patan Municipality-6 along with relay strike on the road.

The length workers began staging relay strike from November 17 for the second time, demanding their remuneration of two years and guarantee of employment.

Before this, they had staged relay strike for 21 days near Patan bazaar from July 5.

The length workers who aid road construction have not received their remuneration after Patan-Pancheshwor road was handed over to province from the federal government since fiscal year 2018/19.

A length worker Jayram Bhul said that they were compelled to shut down the road section and to wage relay strike as their demands were not met.
