KATHMANDU: The legislative parliament is scheduled to meet today at 3 pm. Though the session has been on for three days, so far it was not able to enter business due to obstruction from Broader Madhesi Front.
In Friday’s session the Prime Minister had called on political parties for not obstructring the House affairs arguing that it would delay the constitution writing process during his address to the House.
He had urged the agitating lawmakers to comprehend the gravity of situation and to assist in endorsing the constitution amendement bill necessary to curtail the constitution writing process.
Following his assurance, the agitating lawmakers had agreed to call of their protests. And with the protests called off, today’s house session is expected to endorse the amendement bill to amend Article70 of the Interim Consitution.
Meanwhile the Constiuent Assembly has also been called for 5 pm in the evening. Prior to this the CA meet has been differed for 14 times in a row.
