Leader Khanal meets Prez, PM separately


KATHMANDU:
CPN (UML) Chairperson Jhalanath Khanal has held meetings with President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai separately today.
Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai and Leader Khanal dwelt on possible ways to end the ongoing deadlock during the meeting held at latter’s residence Dallu this morning. Following the meeting, Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai told reporters the two leaders discussed various alternatives and contemporary political issues to end the protracted deadlock.
However, Khanal urged the Prime Minister to pave the way for consensus.
Likewise, Khanal also called on President Dr Yadav at latter’s residence Shital Niwas this afternoon and held talks about the present political crisis in the country.
Talking to media persons following the meeting, Khanal said the President was anxious about the prolonging political stalemate and desired that the political parties would reach to a consensus soon. Accusing the ruling parties for the deepening crisis, Khanal said that agitation against the government was essential.
