Last rites of murdered dalit girl observed after eight days
BAJHANG:- The last rites of 12-year-old Dalit girl Samjhana BK who was murdered after rape from Masta Rural Municipality-2 has been observed after eight days on Wednesday.
The relatives of the BK were ready to accept the dead body after the District Police Office organized a press meet and made public the accused one Rajendra Bohara, 20, on Wednesday.
Although the relatives received the dead body, which was kept in District Hospital, a relative Gorakh Kami warned that they would continue protest until justice was catered to Samjhana. The all-party meeting held at District Administration Office on Tuesday had made agreement for the last rites of the murdered one.
Meanwhile, the Secretary at Home Ministry, phoned the relative of the murdered girl sharing that the government would provide Rs 1 million for relief amount, according to assistant Chief District Officer, Ram Bahadur Sharki.
