Laborers file case against Casino Nepal


KATHMANDU:
Forty-six workers of the Casino Nepal situated inside the five-star Soaltee Crown Plaza Hotel have lodged a case in the Labor Court against the Casino Nepal.
The workers filed the case after the new management of the casino, Majong Entertainment, slashed the workers’ salary and demoted them as well. The laborers lodged the case demanding Rs. 100 million in arrears as their salary amount.
Coordinator of Casino Laborers Struggle and Talks Committee, Mukunda Raj Kharel, said that former management of the casino Nepal, Recreation Center, Majong Entertainment, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Tourism are the defendants in the case. The plaintiff’s have demanded payment of their salary for two months and employees’ provident funds of four years.
