N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala has revealed that major political parties have agreed to draft the new constitution within the stipulated timeframe by concluding peace process.
Speaking to journalists in Gaighat with journalist, Koirala said that his party was vying to garner inter-party consensus on adopting 6 state federalism model and trashed out the possibility of adopting federalism along ethnic lines.
Alluding to the power-show put up the Madhesh based parties on Saturday in Capital, he said that the show revealed the double standards of the Madheshi leaders.
He further claimed that the Madheshi Front rally was nothing more than a last ditch efforts of the Madheshi leaders to keep their vote intact by demonstrating that they have still not forgotten their promises.
Koirala ruled out the possibility of endorsing the much hyped ‘one madhesh one province demand’ of the Madhesh leaders.
