Koirala knocks on President’s door, Dahal invites legal experts for discussion


KATHMANDU: With the fate of new constitution still remaining unclear, never like before, lead politicians have engaged in discussions to determine the future course of Nepal’s politics.

Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal and Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai held discussions with legal experts at the latters residence after the lead party meeting failed to corner thorny issues in the new constitution.

Sources near the PM, informed that the discussions centered on the course of action that can be taken after the CA is dissolved and if the constitution fails to come, due to lack of consensus between political parties.

On the other hand , Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala dashed off to the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav’s place to discuss the post May 27 scenario.

Sources near Koirala, informed that the discussions centered on the President’s role and the emergency that could come into effect after May 27 if the constitution fails to come.
