Khanal calls on for political consensus

CPN UML Chairman Jhalnath KhanalKATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson Jhalanath Khanal has urged the ruling parties – Unified CPN (Maoist) and Madhesi Front – to come to a consensus by shunning totalitarian thoughts.

Another election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) announced by the incumbent government has created a constitutional crisis in the country, he said while making public a souvenir released by CPN-UML First National Delegates’ Meeting Publicity Sub-committee at the party’s central office, Balkhu today.
Time has come to build national consensus among the political parties, he said, adding that the ruling Maoist and Madhesi Front should give up totalitarian attitude for this.

Leader Khanal further said the country may be pushed towards a failure if national consensus was not forged and stressed the need to go for fresh election by averting a constitutional crisis.
